Lawyer with more than 15 years of experience in tax litigation, tax consultancy and tax criminal law (tax crimes and administrative offence proceedings).

His tax litigation work includes the preparation and follow-up of administrative claims and reviews, binding information requests, VAT reimbursement requests or tax inspections, administrative/judicial claims concerning municipal taxes, preparation and follow-up of tax judicial claims and tax appeals; the preparation and follow-up of tax disputes before the Administrative and Tax Arbitration Center (CAAD).

Diogo also provides legal opinions and regular/daily consultancy on any tax matters, such as corporate tax, personal income tax, VAT, property taxes (municipal and real estate transfer taxes), stamp duty, motor vehicle taxes, excise duties (e.g. tobacco, alcohol and alcoholic beverages) or tax benefits. Also includes Compliance services, e.g., the filling and review of tax returns (corporate and personal income tax, property taxes) and the review of Transfer Price Files.

Has been working with companies, economic groups and private clients based in Portugal and also abroad (UE and Non-UE), related to areas of activity/business such as processing industry, banking and financial services, real estate, automobile industry, pharmaceutical industry, logistics, civil engineering, telecommunications or food business.

He is a frequent guest lecturer at conferences and seminars under tax law matters and has been providing in-house formation in tax litigation matters.

Member of the Portuguese Bar Association since 2003.

Member of the CAAD Arbitrors List in tax matters since 2016.
