Legal alert no. 9

The Portuguese Minimum Monthly Wage was set at 557 euros by Decree-Law no. 86-B/2016, published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Portugal on December 29th, 2016. This measure came into effect since January 1st, 2017 and it represents an increase of approximately 5% of the amount of 530 euros that was previously in force.
